Is your nursing future with Farleigh?

We are looking for registered nurses to join the specialist clinical team at our hospice building in Broomfield, Chelmsford.

Our recruitment campaign coincides with International Nurses Day on 12 May, which is the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth. This year, the theme is the future of nursing – are you a nurse who sees your future with Farleigh?

Ellie Miller, Farleigh’s Director of Care, explained, “At a time when the future of nursing is being talked about around the world, Farleigh Hospice is recruiting registered nurses to enhance the specialist clinical team at our inpatient unit.

“These nursing roles offer many benefits including a positive working environment with high staff to patient ratio; various shift patterns to support a good work life balance; training and career development with progression opportunities; an employee assistance programme; free onsite parking and competitive salaries.

“We are looking for healthcare professionals who are passionate about delivering excellent palliative and end of life care and believe in Farleigh’s vision; that everyone facing the end of their life should be supported to live well and die well, now and in the future.”

We are holding two Nurse Recruitment Open Days; at our Broomfield building on Tuesday 9 May at 10am-2pm and 5pm-8pm and on Saturday 13 May at 10am-4pm.

You can take a tour around the hospice and have an informal chat with members of the clinical team. Please bring along your CV as there is the opportunity to apply for the roles on the day.

We are also offering a welcome bonus of £500 to qualified nurses on successful completion of a three-month probation.

Alison Gray, Head of Nursing and Clinical Quality, added, “The aim of palliative care is to live well until you die and the aim of all the nurses that I work with at Farleigh is to help our patients to have the best life and experiences that they possibly can and then to look after them when that times comes.

“I would encourage nurses to consider a future with Farleigh as we are a great team. Working with people who are so dedicated and compassionate to provide that level of care makes all the difference.”
