Chelmsford law firm, Backhouse Solicitors, has committed to supporting fundraising for Farleigh throughout 2022.

Backhouse Solicitors has selected Farleigh as its charity of the year for 2022. The firm has been a regular participant of Farleigh’s annual Make a Will campaign, and this year has pledged to go one step further and undertake a variety of fundraising activities to raise much-needed funds for the hospice.

Ivana Sidey, Trainee Solicitor at Backhouse said: “We’re thrilled to have chosen Farleigh as our Charity of the Year. We have supported the hospice’s Make a Will campaign for many years and this year we wanted to do more. The care they provide to people affected by life-limiting illness and bereavement is second to none and their work is so important to our local community. Some of our own staff have personal experiences of Farleigh’s services, and we want to do as much as we can to help as the hospice makes such a crucial difference to patients and their families in the most challenging of times.”

The Chelmsford-based firm believes that every client, large or small, deserves personal service, fast responses and clear, value for money advice. Their client base includes a diverse range of businesses in the private and public sector, from sole traders to multinationals, as well as charities, voluntary organisations, and individuals across the South East of England.

Michelle Martin, Corporate Fundraiser at Farleigh Hospice said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to Backhouse Solicitors for selecting Farleigh Hospice to be its charity of the year. We look forward to seeing what fundraising activities they undertake for us. This year is especially exciting as it is our 40th birthday year. We’re delighted that Backhouse has joined us in celebrating 40 years of providing care and support to those affected by life-limiting illness in our community. Every penny they raise will help us secure the future of our care for the next 40 years and beyond.”
