At Farleigh Hospice, hospice care means compassion, expertise and being there when people need us most. It’s the reassuring voice on the phone, the nurse at a difficult moment and the support that reassures families they are not alone.
As part of the national This is Hospice Care campaign, we’re joining hospices across the UK to highlight what hospice care truly looks like. Over the coming weeks, TV, radio, and online stories will share the everyday moments of care, comfort and dignity that often go unseen.
For over forty years, we’ve supported people across mid Essex, caring for adults living with life‑limiting illness and helping children and adults with the impact of grief. Each year, our clinical nurse specialists answer more than 20,000 calls to our advice line and our community teams care for over 500 people at any one time, all free of charge.
This care is only possible thanks to the generosity of our community. Gifts in Wills are vital, helping to meet the £21,271 needed each day to keep Farleigh Hospice running.
