Charity of the year

Nominate Farleigh as your charity of the year for 2023/24 and partner with us to help us continue providing care. This is a unique opportunity to unite your staff behind an inspiring cause and demonstrate your company's commitment to making a difference.

Together we can develop a calendar of events and activities including:

• Fundraising events – inspired by our fundraising ideas pack and corporate events including golf day, quiz nights and Midsummer Mudness.
• Team building opportunities through our volunteering programme.
• Take part in our Farleigh Hospice events including our flagship Walk for Life, Cycle for Life, our new Splash Out! event and our annual Santa Fun Run.
• Sign up to a Challenge, from the TCS London Marathon, RideLondon, to skydiving, and climbing Snowdon at night to name but a few.
• Develop campaigns to support specific projects such as the renovation of our new Farleigh Hospice site in Maldon.
• We can help your fundraising go further through payroll giving and match funding.

Through your partnership with Farleigh, you will raise the profile of your business, engage with your staff and customers and support your local hospice.

Farleigh Hospice was chosen by Knight Group as its Charity of the Year back in 2019, but their fundraising was limited as the Covid pandemic struck.

During that first year, Knight Group staff raised funds in a variety of ways including cake sales, attending the annual Farleigh Golf Day, running the London Marathon and even doing a skydive!

They also brought equipment and volunteered to help with a gardening project in the grounds of our hospice building in Chelmsford. Over several days they dug out paths and flower beds and laid a patio outside our Inpatient Unit, making it easier for our patients and their families to enjoy the gardens.

After the pandemic, they continued to fundraise as soon as they could, holding dress down days for a year.

Their spokesperson said, “Farleigh Hospice was chosen by members of staff as our Charity of the Year for 2019, as they had personally experienced the wonderful services that the hospice provides. Farleigh does so much for our community, offering support to not only people with life-limiting illnesses, but people affected by it too. We were proud to have supported Farleigh Hospice.”

We want to thank them for never giving up and raising a fabulous total of £3,997 for Farleigh Hospice.
