Specialty Doctor in Palliative Medicine, Inpatient Unit Job Ref: 1839DS Hours per week: 40, plus on call Type of contract: Permanent Pay point: £37,176–£69,325 per annum, pro rata Closing date: 1 June 2018 Interview date: 15 June 2018 We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialty Doctor post in our 10-bedded Inpatient Unit at Farleigh Hospice, Chelmsford, starting on 1st July 2017. The post-holder will undertake day to day patient management of the in-patients and will work closely with the IPU Lead Consultant and other junior doctors. Experience in this field is not essential but you must have post registration experience and be enthusiastic about Palliative Medicine and End of Life Care. This post provides an excellent opportunity either for gaining experience or developing a career in Palliative Medicine. You will be the Doctor providing continuity of care, communicating with relatives and liaising with other healthcare professionals. You will be part of an extensive multi-professional team with excellent expertise in end of life care. An excellent team player and good communicator, you will participate in teaching and audit programmes and be part of a non-residential on-call rota.
