We are looking for dedicated registered nurses to join our professional and friendly Inpatient Unit team. There is plenty of scope to develop your skills in specialist palliative care and planned career progression through our education programme and development framework. So if you are enthusiastic, committed nurse looking to develop your knowledge in specialist palliative care, then this may be the job for you.

You will gain experience in caring for patients admitted to the Inpatient Unit for complex symptom control needs, a rehabilitation programme, respite for families and carers and for end of life and supportive care.

We have a nursing team led by a Clinical Lead Nurses who will support your professional development and enhance your skills in specialist palliative care. In addition to this you will have access to clinical supervision together with excellent learning and developmental opportunities to support your personal growth.

You will work with the team, using a patient-centered approach and evidenced based practice, assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and co-ordinate care from admission to discharge. You will be expected to administer medication and treatment as prescribed in accordance with the NMC's and the Hospices policies and guidelines. You will also provide emotional, psychological and spiritual support for patients and carer's.

You will be required to work a variable shift pattern over a 24 hour period. You will receive an unsocial hour’s enhancement for evenings, weekends and bank holiday’s.

We would like to hear from nurses who have experience in a hospital/community setting, specialities include but not limited to; oncology, palliative care, general medical and surgical, accident and emergency, critical care and community/district nursing. Newly qualified nurses will also be considered.
