In November, we launched a voucher scheme in partnership with Warm Maldon that will enable people on low income to purchase warm clothes for themselves and their children and families.

£500 worth of vouchers have been made available through Maldon and District CVS in the form of 100 £5 vouchers that can be exchanged in any of the district’s Farleigh Hospice shops for items of warm clothing such as coats, jumpers, hats, and scarves.

Sarah Laskar, Director at Maldon and District CVS said “we have run a campaign supporting people to stay warm over winter for five years now and we are really pleased to be able to add the opportunity for people to purchase their own choice of warm clothes as part of the support we can offer.”

Partners in the scheme include Maldon and District CVS, Maldon District CAB and Homestart Maldon who will be able to distribute vouchers to people who meet the projects criteria of being at risk during
winter months.

Members of the public who want to support the scheme are being encouraged to donate good quality second hand clothing to any of the Farleigh Hospice charity shops.
