We are looking for Health Care Assistants to join the Hospice, working within our Hospice at Home team. The Hospice at Home service takes the specialist skills of Farleigh Hospice into an individual’s home, enabling people to have more choice over their place of care.

The Hospice at Home ([email protected]) service offers time limited interventions at times of crisis in order to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions, alleviate carer fatigue, facilitate discharge from hospice/hospital and support those patients who wish to die at home.

We are looking for staff that have had varied care experience and are passionate about delivering care of the highest standard. Experience of working in palliative care and community settings are desirable but not essential.

You will be required to;

  • Maintain a high standard of holistic nursing care in the community, recognising the importance of physical, emotional, social and spiritual aspects of care
  • Be flexible and creative in the care of the patient and family
  • Work unsupervised in the patient’s home work alongside the patients carer/s (personal and professional)
  • Work a variable shift pattern between the hours of 08.00 and 20.00 over 7 days. You will receive an unsocial hour’s enhancement for weekend and bank holiday working.
