Donate to Leap into Action for Farleigh Hospice

On Saturday 29 February, everyone at Farleigh Hospice will be working, like every other day, caring and supporting those living with a life-limiting illness or bereavement.

However, due to 2020 being a leap year, this is an extra day, which means the charity has to raise a further £16,500 to provide an additional day of care for all its patients, families and carers. Therefore Farleigh Hospice is asking the community and local businesses to ‘Leap into Action’ and help fund this extra day.

All the money raised from the campaign will go towards helping people like Lou, whose mum was supported by Farleigh Hospice. Lou said: “Thank you to Farleigh Hospice for looking after our Mum last year, allowing me and my two sisters the time to be with her in her final days to say our goodbyes. Your kindness and comfort will never be forgotten."

Dr Eva Lew, Consultant in Palliative Medicine and Medical Director at Farleigh Hospice said: “Farleigh is the only hospice in mid Essex that supports people living with a life-limiting illness, free of charge. Any donation you can give, no matter how small, will make a difference to our patients; helping us to provide them with the vital care and support they need, either in the hospice itself or in their own home.”
