Hours per week: Full time, including some weekend and evening work

Salary: £67,500 per annum

As Director of Care you will manage the clinical staff enabling the highest standards of clinical care; provide leadership across the organisation ensuring a positive and supportive culture focussing on the quality of care and improvement of patient/carer/user outcomes and experiences. You will be responsible for compliance, managing resources and the clinical care budget. You will work with the Director of Clinical Strategy & Development to develop the vision and strategy for needs based outcome focussed clinical services and to develop, implement and evaluate innovative models of care.

Qualified at masters level in a relevant subject e.g. oncology, palliative care, leadership together with a management qualification; you should have demonstrable leadership skills using a consultative approach, experience in a specialist palliative care service, worked in a broad range of clinical settings and contributed to local developments in palliative care.  Able to contribute to the strategic development of hospice services, you should have experience of leading change in service delivery, and up to date knowledge of developments in palliative care.
