Donate your unwanted furniture and homeware goods to Farleigh Hospice

Farleigh Hospice are working in partnership with Tendring Reuse and Employment Enterprise (T.R.E.E.) to ensure we can offer an effective donated furniture and homeware service to you. This partnership will ensure that the value of any donated item, which meets the minimum of the safety and usability criteria, is maximised for people across mid Essex.

Farleigh Hospice will arrange for T.R.E.E. to collect any donated furniture and homeware items which can be cleaned and prepared for sale in our Farleigh Hospice homeware shop. If the item is not saleable in our shop, T.R.E.E. will transfer to one of their outlets to sell on Farleigh Hospice’s behalf. They will return to us 15% of its sold value and the rest will go towards funding the furniture collection service and the people that T.R.E.E. support. The items sold through a T.R.E.E. outlet are available to the general public but also are of particular benefit to those who are disadvantaged.

Tendring Reuse and Employment Enterprise (T.R.E.E.) is a charity that provides volunteer and work placement opportunities for people in the local community, specialising in those with learning difficulties, the long term unemployed and young people not in education, employment or training (NEET).

Donating is easy!

Safety and Usability
  • We can only take items that are complete and not broken
  • For all soft furnishings we would need each item to bear the appropriate fire labels.

If the item does not meet these criteria, we’re sorry but we will not be able to accept it. You will however normally be offered the opportunity to
have the items disposed of for a small, set fee. The driver on viewing the items can advise you on this cost, or we can advise you before the visit if required. You do not have to accept this offer and no charge will be made for the viewing of the item.

Please call 0303 99 99 007 today to arrange your collection and make a difference to those across mid Essex who need our support and care.

Please note - Only items sold through a Farleigh Hospice outlet can be included in the Gift Aid scheme.
