Walk and Talk Groups in Chelmsford and Maldon
A chance to get active, talk with others and enjoy walking together in beautiful surroundings
Our Walk and Talk Groups are run by Farleigh Hospice and offer welcoming peer support for carers and anyone who has been bereaved. It's a safe space to discuss challenging but important topics.
These walks are open to:
- Carers of people with a life-limiting illness who are eligible for Farleigh Hospice support
- Anyone who has been bereaved living in the mid Essex area
Both groups are supported by a member of the Family Support Team and our dedicated volunteers.
Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
There is no need to book—just come along!

Chelmsford Walk and Talk Group
| When: | From January 2026 on 2nd and 4th Monday of each month |

| Time: | Meet at 10:15am for a 10:30am start, finishing at 12pm |
| Where: | Tower Gardens Car Park (CM1 2PL), off Rainsford Road |
| Route: | A gentle stroll through Admirals and Central Park, with a stop at Central Park Café for refreshments and conversation |
Maldon Walk and Talk Group
| When: | From January 2026 on 2nd and 4th Friday of the month |

| Time: | Meet at 1:45pm for a 2pm start, finishing at 3:30pm |
| Where: | Promenade Park, by Mrs Salisbury’s kiosk |
| Includes:: | A refreshment stop and time to chat |
