We are reopening in a phased order to allow us to manage the new restrictions and compliance with regards social distancing and infection control.

We are excitedly reopening our shops! We are reopening in a phased order to allow us to manage the new restrictions and compliance with regards social distancing and infection control. Some shops are unable to accept donations currently and for this we apologise.

Please do be patient with our staff and volunteers during this time of change. We will update our social media and website with additional shop opening dates as soon as we can. Thank you for all your support and we look forward to seeing you again very soon!

The following shops are currently open for sales AND donations from 10am – 3 pm.

  • Braintree (Fashion store)
  • Braintree (Homeware)
  • Broomfield Road
  • Gloucester Avenue
  • Maldon Warehouse
  • Moulsham Street

Please note that all donations will only be accepted at the rear door of the shop and not through the main entrance. This is to minimize any risk to staff and volunteers. All donations will then be quarantined for more than 72 hours before being sorted and prepared for sale to keep you as safe as we can.

If you are a gift aid donor, can you please either put your gift aid donor number or your surname and postcode on the outside of the sacks to enable a quick and effective donor drop.

The following shops will be open for sale of #Farleighbargains ONLY
from Monday 13th July from 10am – 3 pm

  • Galleywood
  • Heybridge
  • Southminster
  • Witham

These shops are not currently able to accept donations of any sort. Please do not ask our staff or volunteers to accept them.

You can donate at the following shops:

  • Braintree (Fashion store)
  • Braintree (Homeware)
  • Broomfield Road
  • Gloucester Avenue
  • Maldon Warehouse
  • Moulsham Street
  • South Woodham Ferrers

All shops will have a maximum number of people who can be in the store at any one time – this will be clearly noted on the door.

Please queue locally in a safe way until we can allow entrance, if there is a queue.

We would respectfully ask everyone to make use of the hand sanitiser before entering the shop.

All shops have been laid out to ensure a one-way passage through the shop.

Please respect others if you need to pass by.

We would ask you to please pay by card.

Furniture, homeware & large item collections

If you have large items of furniture or homeware to donate, we can collect these from you free of charge. Please call 01376 331871 to speak to our team to arrange a convenient time for collection in the very near future. We currently have a limited service for this and is for doorstep collection only.

Volunteering

If you'd like to work in any of our shops, visit our volunteering page to see all of our vacancies.

Donated items

We are really very grateful for your all your donations as they make such a difference to the care we can provide. One other thing that can help and make a difference is if you could please check all the donations before bringing them in as, if anything is unsaleable, broken or incomplete, it actually costs Farleigh money to dispose of it. So please think carefully and possibly remove some items to dispose of at home, if you think they are saleable. One thing to ask is ‘’would I buy this item?’’

We are very fortunate that donations to our shops are often very high. If you wish to ring the shop before making a special trip to drop off donations please do. Due to the wonderful support Farleigh Hospice receives, we do occasionally have to temporarily stop accepting donated items. This is due to ensure the Health and Safety of our Supporters, staff and volunteers. Thank you.
