Living with Grief programme goes live!

Friday 1st April

  • News

We are very pleased to announce that following a successful bid to Essex County Council we have secured funding to offer a new programme of support for those who are bereaved in the mid-Essex area.

The Living with Grief programme is open to referrals from the 1st of April, 2022 and will run for a period of 1 year. Children and young people aged 10 to 17 can access the service which will be provided through our Yo-Yo Project team. For adults 18+ the service will be managed by CIRCLE adult bereavement support. Living with Grief will run alongside and compliment the services currently offered by both of our bereavement teams.

What does Living with Grief offer?

Adults

Adults will receive a tailored information pack. The pack contains information about grief, hints and tips on activities that can help you manage your loss, resources to contact for further guidance and support. The programme offers up to 8 individual support/counselling sessions followed by 6 sessions of a psycho-educational group where you will learn more about grief, what helps you to cope and the opportunity to share your experience and meet with others in a similar situation.

Children/Young People

Parents/carers will receive an information pack with resources and information designed for children and young people needs. The programme offers up to 8 individual sessions of support or counselling. A group activity may be suggested if it is felt beneficial.

To apply, simply complete the Yo-Yo Project referral form for 10-17 year old, and the CIRCLE referral and self-assessment form for anyone aged 18+ which are available on this website. We will triage your referral and either offer support through our current service or direct you to the Living with Grief programme if we feel it will be of most benefit.
