As lockdown measures have eased over the recent months it has been great to be able to welcome our volunteers back to our stores and to the hospice.

For Volunteers’ Week (1 to 7 June) we celebrated the fact that we have over 750 volunteers at Farleigh in over 30 different roles. Our volunteers are essential to almost every aspect of Farleigh which is why we are broadening our volunteer recruitment to reach new volunteers in the community to fill a variety of roles. From retail volunteers to event volunteers as well as for exciting future projects.

Projects such as, Farleigh Helpers. Launching soon, Farleigh Helpers is a new online and telephone support and befriending service available to everyone in the community. The service will provide support to patients, families and clients known to Farleigh as well as Interested in volunteering? Get in touch helping external callers who may be ill, lonely, isolated or bereaved. We are looking for kind, caring volunteers who are good listeners, IT savvy and want to make a positive difference to people’s lives in the local community. The Farleigh Helpers roles will be home-based, so if you would like to help us from the comfort of your living room or home office, then this is for you!
