A Chelmsford Estate Agent is taking an extreme approach to the Farleigh Hospice £50 challenge by doing a sponsored bungee jump.

Hamilton Piers has nominated its two youngest team members to complete a 160ft bungee jump to raise money for this year’s Farleigh Hospice £50 challenge.

Noah Sheldrick and Harrison Butt will be jumping from London’s O2 Arena on Sunday 22 August. The company has entered two of its branches, Chelmsford and Great Notley, into the challenge. Both Noah and Harrison were eager to put themselves forward to do the jump and represent their offices in the challenge.

Laurie Tew, managing director of Hamilton Piers said: “Charities like Farleigh Hospice do great work in the communities in which we operate and in which our staff and their families live. Rather than having offices in a high street like a typical estate agent, we are purposely based in the middle of these communities. Our ethos has therefore always been to support local charities, schools and businesses, just as they help and support the people that we serve. Farleigh Hospice is a perfect example of this, and the £50 Challenge is an opportunity for us to do our bit to help them - even if it means a few sleepless nights for a few members of the Hamilton Piers family! Harrison and Noah have never done anything like this before and it is safe to say they are both excited and a little anxious about the jump.”

Michelle Martin, Corporate Fundraiser at Farleigh Hospice said: “We are so grateful to Hamilton Piers for taking on the £50 Challenge. A bungee jump is certainly a remarkable way to grow their £50! This year’s challenge is celebrating the amazing work of the Farleigh Hospice nurses who have been working on the frontline of the pandemic, supporting the NHS and delivering hospice care within people’s homes and out in the community. All the money raised will go towards supporting our nurses, helping them continue to care for people with a life-limiting illness across mid-Essex and offering vital support to patients and their families free of charge.”
