Congratulations to 4 of our supporters who made it into the top 10 nominees in the Community Champion category at the Pride of Essex Awards 2017!

Community Champion Award

Awarded to individuals or groups, who put the needs of others before themselves, raising much needed funds for charity. Recognising the difference they make to the Community as a whole.


The supporters nominated for their efforts on behalf of Farleigh Hospice were:

Hazel Clements Hazel organises the annual Little Waltham Open Gardens & Classic Car Display, and in 2016 organised a very successful Halloween Doggy Walk.
Julie Renvoize Chair of the Friends of Farleigh, who organise diverse events ranging from Bridge Luncheons, Quiz Nights to Flower Arranging Evenings. They also sell home made jams and chutneys and recently hit their fundraising target of £250,000!
Margaret Axon Head of our Danbury Support Group, who organise an extremely successful annual Open Gardens event.
Maureen Head Head of the Farleigh St Clare’s Craft Circle, a Maldon based group who produce high quality hand made craft items. This group recently hit their fundraising target of £150,000!


We're extremely grateful to all of our supporters, and honoured that so many people in our community give up their time to help us. Congratulations to the 4 outstanding ladies who were nominated for this award - we're all very proud of you!
