On Sunday 21st May, we will be marking the 25th anniversary of our sponsored “Walk for Life” by celebrating the nurses whose predecessors started it all. Originally launched in 1992 as a Nurses’ Walk between the hospices in Maldon and Chelmsford, the event has since raised over £1,000,000 and has become one of our biggest fundraisers.

This summer, participants will walk side-by-side with clinical staff on one of two scenic routes across the magnificent Essex countryside. They will follow either a 12km route from Paper Mill Lock or a 24km route from Heybridge Basin as they trek towards Chelmsford.

It promises to be an event to remember, and you can get involved by becoming one of our volunteers! Whether you help us by serving refreshments or by pointing walkers in the right direction as they close in on the finish line, your support will be greatly appreciated.
