Farleigh Hospice has recently been recognised by business leaders at the annual Essex Business Awards, receiving the Inspirational London Award for Contribution to the Community for the second year running.

The Essex Business Excellence Awards aim to celebrate success, recognise achievement, and highlight the innovative people and companies throughout Essex, who are making a positive contribution to the local community.

The award rounds off a fantastic month for Farleigh, coming just days after receiving a Highly Commended for the Die Well award at the Marvels of Mid Essex Awards (MOMAs). This award is organised by the NHS Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and is designed to recognise the stars from the mid Essex communities.

These awards demonstrate Farleigh’s commitment to supporting the community of mid Essex. Over the past 12 months we have delivered 90% of care within the community and inside patients’ own homes. We have also launched a new service with the mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group CCG, designed to support rapid discharge from Broomfield Hospital for those with life-limiting illnesses requiring end of life care, where their preferred place of care is at home or at Farleigh Hospice.

Alison Stevens, Chief Executive for Farleigh Hospice said: “We are so thrilled to receive the Contribution to the Community award for the second year running and for being recognised by the Marvels of Mid Essex Awards, for our hard work and dedication to supporting people in need of end of life care. We are so proud of what we have achieved.”
