Back in April forty challengers were given a crisp £50 note, thanks to the generosity of event sponsor Birkett Long, with a mission to turn the £50 into as much money as possible by the end of June.

It continually amazes us how innovative the £50 Challenge participants are. Money making activities included climbing Snowdon, bungee jumping, quiz nights, Zumba dancing, angling competitions, commission on sales and a great deal of cake! With the Euros in the summer football themed fundraising or paying to be allowed to watch matches featured significantly. Altogether our wonderful participants raised nearly £21,000 for the hospice - a magnificent amount of money.
