This summer, people across our community will be once again be opening their gardens in support of Farleigh Hospice, providing plenty of opportunities to enjoy a wonderful day out.

In 2016, our Open Gardens events raised nearly £24,000 through people opening their own garden or viewing other people’s. With the continued support of local community members, we're hoping that this year will be even more successful!

About Great Notley

Built in the mid-1990s, Great Notley is a suburban development to the south-west of Braintree. This Old English-style village, set against a backdrop of rural beauty, boasts a wealth of architectural variety and plenty of wide, open spaces.

Though the gardens are generally small, (and as is typical in Essex villages, largely absent at the front of properties), wide grass verges and tree-lined roadways give the area its quaint feel.
