With the continued support of M&G Investments, our 20th ‘Walk for Life for Farleigh Hospice’ will take place on Sunday 13th May 2012. There are two scenic walks to choose from; a longer 22km route from Heybridge to Chelmsford which sets off between 8.30 and 10.30am and a shorter 10.5km route from Paper Mill Lock to Chelmsford which starts between 9.30am – midday. So, whatever your age and ability, you can enjoy the wonderful views of the mid Essex countryside whilst doing your bit to help your local hospice carry on caring!
Since 2007 our annual ‘Walk for Life for Farleigh Hospice’ has raised over £760,000 in sponsorship. This money plays a big part in funding the essential care and support we provide, completely free of charge, to people affected by life-limiting illnesses across mid Essex. And as the demand for our services continues to grow each year, with your help and support, we are hoping that this year’s 'Walk for Life' will raise more towards the care of local families than ever before!
Registering couldn’t be easier!
Simply register HERE today or download a form and return it to FREEPOST RRLJ-BKTZ-ACEH, Farleigh Hospice, North Court Road, Chelmsford CM1 7FH.
There is a £10 registration fee for adult walkers and a £5 fee for children under 16 which goes towards the cost of a T-Shirt and the overall administration of the event. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. As the two routes are not circular, coaches are available from Chelmsford to take walkers to the starting point of their chosen walk. To help us with the planning of this event and enable us to send out your personal ‘Walk for Life for Farleigh Hospice’ pack in plenty of time, please register as soon as possible. The last date to register for this year's ‘Walk for Life’ is Wednesday 2nd May 2012.
