Farleigh Hospice Needs You
Do you want to make a difference to people's lives or give something back to your local community; make new friends, learn new skills, or use your existing skills in a way that will be valued?
As a member of staff or volunteer for Farleigh Hospice you can do all of these things and so much more. In nearly all cases, whatever your skills, there is a way that they can be used. As we have recently moved to our new Hospice and plan to expand our services there is an urgent need for new volunteers and for various staff roles.
There are currently seven volunteers for every member of staff so you will be joining a happy team. As Julian, one of our new Farleigh Day Hospice volunteers, said:
"I used to have a pre-conceived idea of what a hospice was like, just picked out of thin air. Now I realise it simply wasn't true. The minute you walk through the door you feel welcome and wanted and there is lots of laughter".
Gary, one of our staff said:
"It's the best career move I've ever made. The work is also interesting and makes a real difference to the lives of local people."
