Enjoy cooking? Have a special signature dish which you could use to impress? Or perhaps you simply enjoy having a reason to get together with friends and family? If the answer to any of these questions is 'yes', then we've got the perfect way for you to have fun and raise money in support of your local hospice.
'Dine at Mine' can be anything you want it to be. You could host a dunner party, have a garden party with a BBQ, organise a cheese and wine tasting evening, or simply invite a few guests round for a spot of lunch. If you don't fancy doing all of the cooking yourself- why not mix and match and ask guests to make and bring a course each?
By asking each guest to make a donation or pay a fee for their meal you can use the opportunity to raise some money and dish up a real portion of care for local people affected by life limiting illnesses. You could even add your own twist and think of a different way to turn your event into a money spinner - like having secret envelopes and asking people to donate what they think the meal would be worth in a restaurant, or holding a quiz or a raffle.
We'll supply invitations, donation envelopes and a poster to explain exactly what your guests are raising money towards, to help make your event a delicious success. We'll even provide a simple form for you to fill in after the event and a freepost envelope to send it back to us in.
The money you raise through holding a 'Dine at Mine' event will be transformed into high quality specialist care which makes a real difference to families across mid Essex, when and where they need it most.
Raising £79 would help support a patient within their own home by funding a visit from our Hospice at Home team
Raising £201 would pay for a patient to attend our day hospice for one day
Raising £439 would staff and run the HOP (Hospice Outreach Project) for a whole day, helping to deliver the specialist services of Farleigh Hospice right into the heart of the community
Raising £1,102 would provide 24 hours of specialist care on our Inpatient Unit for 2 patients with the most complex of symptoms
Thank you. It is because you care that we can
