Farleigh Hospice is about a lot more than nurses.  Whilst the nursing care provided is of the highest standard, what really makes Farleigh Hospice's services special is the range of support available from a whole team of professional specialists.

Patients in any area of the hospice can take advantage of:

Chaplaincy - for people of all religions and those of no religion to explore spiritual issues.

Physiotherapy - Providing exercises, manipulation and knowledge to enable people to remain as mobile and independent as possible.  This could be help walking, advice and exercises in dealing with breathlessness or fatigue.  All these services are provided to improve patients quality of life.

Occupational Therapy - Our Occupational Therapy team assesses patient's needs and provides them with specialist equipment to enable them to live independently.

Chiropody - Our Chiropodist can simply cut nails of patients who find it difficult to reach their feet or help to treat problems with feet and nails often experienced when undergoing treatments such as Chemotherapy.

Massage - The positive effects of a nice massage are well known; this can be even more beneficial to people with particular physical problems.  It can help stimulate or relax and is an important service offered to patients.  Our professional Massage Therapists specialise in caring for patients with life limiting illnesses and are aware of and respond to patients conditions.
