Farleigh Hospice Wins National Award - September 18th 2006
Farleigh Hospice has won a national award for the charities re-branding at the 'Third Sector Excellence Awards'. Competing against a range of national and international charities and judged by a panel of
voluntary sector experts the research, wide stakeholder involvement and design for the new Farleigh Hospice rebrand was praised as 'encapsulating some of the best qualities of the the voluntary sector." The Editor of 'Third Sector' magazine said of the award "This admirable and compassionate organisation saw the need to modernise its image and managed to do so economically and effectively, without trying to be too clever or get carried away: an object lesson in sensible evolution."
As well as a range of staff, volunteers, patients and families being consulted about the new image, research was undertaken in the local population and Maldon based design agency W3 undertook the redesign. Richard Fewings, PR Coordinator and David Wiseman from W3 collected the award at an event at the Grosvenor Hotel on 18th September and the Hospice can use the 'Third Sector Excellence Award Winner 2006' logo in their communications.
