Hospice Outreach Project (HOP)

UK's first mobile hospice

Ill? Bereaved? Or worried about someone who is?.....DROP IN for information, advice and support.

The Hospice Outreach Project or HOP for short, is a mobile unit which provides a flexible, accessible range of services right into the heart of the community. With a range of specialist staff on board including specialist nurses able to provide information and advice on all aspects of hospice care. The HOP also acts as an education resource for healthcare professionals and the wider community.

Our specialist staff work closely with GP's and community teams to give advice and support in areas of symptom management, emotional, spiritual, psychological and bereavement support for patients, their families and significant others.

The HOP service currently operates 4 days a week and visits locations all across mid Essex including Braintree, Witham, Great Dunmow, Maldon and the Dengies. Timetables are available via our website, local papers, GP surgeries, local chemists, parish notice boards and local information centres.
