Farleigh Hospice has three day hospices, one each in Braintree, Chelmsford and Maldon. You can attend the day hospice on a regular day each week or on a more flexible basis. The day hospices provide patients with an opportunity for social interaction and relatives and carers with respite. Transport can be arranged if required.
People who visit the day hospices feel supported by spending time with others who may be in a similar situation. This support can help you make informed choices about your care and how to live with the changes in your life.
As well as offering support, the day hospice offers a range of services including creative activities and complementary therapies.
You can drop in for advice and information from the day hospice staff. Alternatively you can book an appointment for a consultation with one of the hospice team. The day hospice team work closely with other hospice staff and liaise with your GP and any other professionals involved in your care.
Social Group
The Social Group offers social interaction and support for patients whose condition is stable but who would still benefit from hospice involvement.
