Cost of service and how we raise the funds
Farleigh Hospice offers all of its services totally free of charge.
The cost of running Farleigh Hospice’s specialist services continues to increase each year as we care for an increasing number of patients. Last year we cared for 2,516 people and our charitable expenditure was £4.1 million.
With only part of this yearly running cost being funded by the NHS, Farleigh Hospice relies on the support and goodwill of the local mid Essex community to raise £6,750 each day and enable us to carry on caring. This support and goodwill is given through gifts in wills, fundraising, regular donations, membership of the Local Hospice Lottery and our 9 charity shops.
